First JDBC driver to CEP - by the Esper team and EsperTech

The Esper team and EsperTech is pleased to announce JDBC interoperability for its Esper CEP engine with a new add-on product: EsperJDBC.

EsperJDBC turns Esper into a JDBC server endpoint that you can query using the EsperJDBC driver. It provides immediate interoperability with any JDBC compliant reporting, charting, and query tools and enables on demand query on continuous results and streams handled by the underlying Esper engine either local or remote.

Supporting JDBC standards, as well as SQL-92 makes it a very effective and non proprietary choice to access real-time data handled by the Esper CEP engine to users who do not need to be familiar with CEP at all, and can use their own SQL / JDBC tools.

A recorded demo illustrates how to create rich dashboards using Eclipse Business Intelligence and Reporting Tool (BIRT) without any code to expose data out of the Esper CEP engine.
